What is Pricewatcher?
Pricewatcher is a free tool that helps UK drivers find the cheapest fuel near them. Ask in plain English — “cheapest E10 near Slough”— or share your location, and we’ll show the lowest forecourt prices around you, on a map, with directions one tap away.
Fuel is one of the most variable everyday costs in the UK: the same litre of unleaded can differ by 10p or more between forecourts a mile apart. Pricewatcher exists to make that difference visible before you drive past the cheaper pump.
Where the prices come from
We use a combination of authoritative sources — including official GOV.UK fuel price data and others — to track more than 8,000 forecourts across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, covering unleaded (E10 and E5), diesel (B7 and B10), premium diesel and HVO, with the database refreshed daily.
Prices are indicative: retailers occasionally change prices between updates, so always confirm at the pump. Each result shows when its price was last reported.
How the search works
Type a place name or postcode, or use the GPS button. We resolve your location, find nearby forecourts within your chosen radius, and rank them by price — flagging supermarket forecourts (usually cheaper) and motorway services (usually dearer) so you can judge the trade-off between price and detour. The assistant can also answer follow-up questions, compare fuel types, and explain fuel-saving basics.

Pricewatcher is operated by DEXTCLOUD LIMITED, an independent company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 11035143). We’re not owned by, or affiliated with, any fuel retailer — rankings are determined purely by price and distance, never by commercial relationships. The service is free to use and supported by advertising.
